Collecting project planning data
To supply structured information about the information management characteristics of each area of the university, staff in management positions will be invited to answer some questions by way of an online survey tool.
Note: You don't need to complete this survey unless we ask you to. It should normally only be completed by only one person in each area.
The kind of information the survey attempts to capture:
- The position your area reports to
- List other areas of the university with operational interdependencies
- List external organisations you have outsourced any of your business functions to
- The number of staff that will potentially use the system(s)
- The number of staff that will potentially use the system(s) concurrently
- The volume of inactive paper records stored by your area
Respondents will also be asked to rate the general level of experience their staff have with some common technologies.
Statistics on each area's current data storage volumes and electronic document formats will be obtained through IMS.
